HB 2513  RELATING TO UNCLAIMED CORPSES                   HSH, JHA
      Allows the department to authorize cremation
      of unclaimed corpses.  (Say, B/R)

HB 2514  RELATING TO PUBLIC ASSISTANCE                   HSH, FIN
      Clarifies the interests of the department in
      the estates of deceased recipients and sets
      forth procedures for asserting claims.  (Say, B/R)

HB 3016  RELATING TO HEALTH SERVICES                     HSH, FIN
      Appropriates $1,000,000 in FY2000-2001 for use
      by the DHS to fund raising the income eligi-
      bility of the medically needy program to 133%
      of the assistance allowance.  (Fox)


                 DECISION-MAKING TO FOLLOW

Persons wishing to testify are requested to submit 30 copies of
their testimony 24 hours prior to the hearing to (1) the
Committee's Vice Chair in Room 328, State Capitol; or (2) the
House Sgt-at-Arms personnel in the turnaround area of the Capitol
basement parking lot.  Testimony may be faxed to the House Sgt-
at-Arms office at:  586-6501 (O'ahu) or 1-800-535-3859 (Neighbor
Islands).  When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is
being submitted, the date and time of the hearing and the
required number of copies needed for submittal.

For further information, please call the Human Services and
Housing Chair's office at 586-6050.  If you require special

 
assistance or auxillary aids and/or services to participate in
the public hearing process of the State House (i.e., sign
language interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking
designated for the disabled), please contact the Committee Clerk
24 hours prior to the hearing so arrangements can be made.
